At first, carpet adhesives were only the backing of polypropylene carpets (that is, straw felt or marine carpets). Since these carpets are usually used by the pool, on the deck and at the back balcony, they need to be replaced within a few years.
The emergence of new carpet adhesives has changed this dilemma. This product has a soft texture and high ethylene content (about 16-30%), which can properly bond polypropylene fibers. Since then, new carpet adhesives have been used as carpet adhesives.
In the early 1980s, collage carpets entered the market, which provided new opportunities for old-fashioned carpet adhesives. However, this does not meet the smoke concentration and flammability requirements of its commercial applications.
The emergence of new carpet adhesives not only solves these problems, but also has good adhesion properties, and has since become the main adhesive in the carpet market.
